Born in Fontana, CA and raised in the Seventh-day Adventist church by Mexican immigrant parents, Consuelo finds herself at the divine crossroads of creation and holiness. Being both queer and trans, Consuelo finds way to weave her upbringing into the fibers of her art through metaphor and iconography.
When reflecting on her artistic practice, Consuelo hopes that she can live up to her name and provide comfort and console through her work.
You can find her at open mics and experimental art shows across the Inland Empire and Los Angeles County, your local public library and coffee shop, or in spiritual apparitions.
